Das Buch ist schwer zu bewerten. Es ist vielschichtig und bleibt bis zum Ende überraschend. Zwischendurch hat mich die Passivität der Protagonistin genervt, deshalb nur 4 Sterne. Es ist aber definitiv eine Geschichte die im Gedächtnis bleibt. Die Sprecherin hat mir auch sehr gut gefallen.

I'm not sure what I was listening to ... what was even happening?

Okay, so ... the story starts as Mean Girls and then add a cult + weird and not explained magic + brain washed characters + confused readers ... I guess.

I've heard that you either love or hate this book. Well, I'm in the middle. I'm really not sure about it.

I LOVE the writing style. It was wonderful and sometimes humorful and even poetic. Also the narrator is very good.

There's a lot of weird stuff going on in this book, but you can tell it's thought-out nevertheless. But I think there should be more explanation so the reader doesn't feel lost after finishing the book. An open ending is great, but here are too many open questions.
