The universe around the story is really good. I like the idea of the sea monsters, the ongoing danger. Unfortunately in my opinion the author played with that magic of new and surprising only at the end of the Book. The other 70% of the book were not bad, but just generic. An AI could have written it the same.

I would not recommend it, but it’s worth a read if you really likes part 1.
