Über diesen Titel
As my core continues to grow in power, so do the challenges of Acalia's fearsome towers.
After crushing the Forest Tower and moving into a home big enough for my four companions and I, a period of relaxation feels much deserved. Fate has other plans for us, though.
When troubling news arrives from the South, we pack up our things and ride for adventure once again. Minh, Astra, Siobhan, and Brea ride beside me as we head deep into the riverlands of Souther Acalia. At the end of every coursing river, the Lake Tower waits, tall and imposing.
The Third Tower isn't as straightforward as it once was. Everyone keeps saying the same thing: The towers are harder than they've ever been, and the monsters that lurk there are far too powerful. With the strength of my enhanced core and the courage of allies, I know we will be up to the task.
My only worry is...can we do it in time?

like the 1st and 2nd book but worse
This book is an example of many smaller problems killing the story.
Most problems originate either from the story being overdramatic or the main characters being very unimaginative when it comes to problem solving. Newly introduced to the story is the problem that some characters just suddenly behave very irrational just to push the story forward.
The final nail in the coffin for me was the reaction of the protagonists group to some slime and the spider boss. They don't gather any relevant information on the content of the tower before running the 1st time, they use very little tactics in all their fights and their members act like preprogrammed robots instead of beings with an actual brain. Things like the archer shooting arrows at a target that doesn't get any damage from them and only stopping after someone else tells them to stop or the tank running of in the boss fight instead of protecting his team members are the reason why the story progression doesn't feel natural.
It's very clear that the author had some ideas and wanted to incorporate them without any regards to how established characters get destroyed because they have to behave in a nonsensical manner to get to the outcome the author desires. For example the author wants the protagonists group to work together with another group, so the reaction of the protagonists group when they fight the spider boss for the 1st time is so overdramatic and exaggurated that they decide on the spot to work with the other group even though the spider fight is probably one of the easiest boss fights they could get especially with a void storage. Get some doors to take with you and everytime the spider launches it bloodsucking needles the group hides behind the doors and the flame bulwark, since the needles don't go in deep even through skin the doors should easily be able to defend against the attack, I'm even pretty confused why their armor didn't defend against 90% of the damage of that attack.
