... Was amazing! Really a fresh breeze in the fantasy genre. Very much reminded me of the Thief / Dishonored Ganes in it's urban fantasy /early industrial setting. Definitely worth a read and/or listen.

I'm reminded of Perdido Street Station with this book, though The Gutter Prayer is far less pretentious. If you like speculative fiction, weird fantasy, or fantasy focused on a city, give this book a shot. Narration is excellent, too. Plenty of scope to distinguish between the various characters. Looking forward to starting book 2!
