Up to the resolution, I liked the story quite well. The finale I found felt a bit constructed and it was too cheesy for my taste. Further, I think it is laudable if the author reads her own book, and Mur Lafferty does a pretty good job at it, but I usually still prefer a professional voice actor.

I was looking for a science fiction horror story and this isn't that. it's more if a who-done-it, and as such it was competent and well structured. I didn't really like it, but that's because it wasn't what I was looking for rather than it being bad.

I wonder why the author narrated the audiobook! I liked her narration, but would like to have seen a full cast instead.

Otherwise, this was so awesome, one of my favorite books of this year and I read a LOT. Blew my mind and I will probably get a physical copy, too.
