This reading of Ruth Wilson (who also played Mrs. Coulter in the HBO series) is great! She is doing a wonderful job of giving everyone a recognisable voice, while staying true to herself.

It was great to get reacquainted with Lyra and her world. It's such a wonderful and timeless story for readers (and listeners) of all ages. It's so original and incredibly imaginative, full of suspense and memorable characters. It's rather 'dark' (considering it's actually aimed at children), but that makes it all the more fascinating.
The narrator is absolutely brilliant! Easily one of the best performances by a female narrator that I've ever had the pleasure of hearing! Ms Wilson's extremely versatile. She gives everyone their very own voice, but never over-acts (as some professional actors are prone to do). I loved listening to her and am very glad that she's going to read "The Subtle Knife" and "The Amber Spyglass", too.
Overall a great production, highly recommended!
