I wish I had discovered this book earlier in uni
While some comments say that this book is primarily geared towards US college students, I wouldn’t agree so. I’ve studied in the UK and now in Germany. The suggested techniques are universal for the most part. I am already practising the simple planning technique recommended in the first chapter and it’s significantly improved my day planning (away with all these complex to do list apps and formats - a simple sheet of paper & a calendar is enough for me, and probably most students). Hoping to experiment with the exam and essay writing techniques too. It’s true that the best way to figure out the best patterns for learning at university must come from top students. So it’s brilliant that somebody has interviewed them and here presents us with a summary of their most common insights. Recommend this to any uni or high school student!

Quite practical - I wish I had read this before
Bough this book just before a 5-hour flight from Darwin to Melbourne in Australia, and on my way to the beginning of a 6-month Post-graduation. This, together with the Bullet Journal Method look ideal for one to get organised. Have listened to the book at least twice.

Finally good tips without setting unrealistic goals
I read many books on how to get good grades and study better and this was the first one that acknowledged that people are lazy. They procrastinate. But instead of shaming them for it and communicating a new and complicated way of organizing things or learning-timetables, I really had the feeling the tips written in this book are helpful and realistic enough that one can adjust small things in their personal learn routine.
I especially liked the part about essays as I was with every new essay a little bit overwhelmed. I later re-listened to specific parts of the book as I am very forgetful personality and it gave me some new aspects every time.
I was very average in school despite working hours and hours and though I work hard in college too I am able to make freetime for my hobbies and friends without having to decrease my focus on good grades. Granted, maybe the concept of college just works better for me but I would argue that this audiobook helped me too.
The narrator does a good job of communicating the tips of the books to the audience without the narration feeling too one dimensional.
The only contra argument I have is less with the audiobook as with audible itself. It’s not the first book that I listened to to have this issue but right at the start of the chapters the narrator is cut off in the first few letters or words. The listener understands the point that is said and no information is lost per se but for an app like audible, this shouldn‘t be an issue. I would be happy if that could get fixed.
