Wer Nassim Talebs „Black Swan“ oder „Narren des Zufalls“ verstanden hat, wird in diesem Buch erkennen dass unser ganzes Leben auf den Grundpfeilern des Zufalls aufgebaut ist. Zufall in Verbindung mit komplexen Systemen werden durch die Heuristiken unseres menschlichen Gehirns oftmals rückwirkend zu plausiblen Geschichten verknüpft. Spätestens nach der Lektüre dieses Buches muss man feststellen, dass die Kontrolle die wir glauben über unser Leben zu haben oft eine Illusion ist.
Das Fazit, dass gerade vor dem Hintergrund des Zufalls ein liebevolles und achtsames Miteinander das rationalste ist was wir Menschen tun sollten, ist nach diesem Ritt durch viele viele Beispiele fast ein poetisches Ende des Buches.
