  • How to Add More Play in Your Life
    Apr 12 2022

In this episode, we are going to talk about the first thing that always gets cut out of our lives when we start to feel too busy--play. We are going to explain why it's so important NOT to cut play out. And we are also going to cover simple ways to make life more playful.

We will cover the primacy of play and how it positively impacts all areas of your life: your health, your relationships, and your work life. We define play and recognize that it is a basic need for flourishing.

We also go through each of the benefits of play in detail, including how it makes you more productive at work, brings you more connection in your relationships, and helps lower stress levels.

We then go through numerous examples of how you can easily add play into your already busy schedule.

Have a happy play day, mamas!

  • The Power of Quiet Space
    Mar 29 2022

In this week's episode, I define the emotional quality of quiet space and how to create it in your life.

I walk you through the past few weeks in my own life, where I have been actively carving out more quiet space and I show you just how I do that.

I discuss the three questions that lead to creating more quiet space:

    1. What do I want to put on pause at this time?

    2. How can I make this simple?

    3. What do I want to add more of into my life right now?

  • Work-Life Balance Is a Lie. Period.
    Mar 8 2022
In this episode, I teach what you probably already knew intuitively but have never heard explained before--and that is that there’s no such thing as work-life balance. It’s a lie.
    1. Work-life balance is a lie because balance implies a qualitative and quantitative equivalence between work and life, which simply isn't true.

    2. Work-life balance creates a false dichotomy because work is an integral part of life.

    3. Work and life are fluid. They're always moving and we have to learn to move with them, instead of forcing ourselves into some unnatural balance that we think we’re supposed to be in.

If you want guidance on designing a life (and worklife) that works for you and your family, schedule a free coaching mini-session here.

  • Why the Self-Care Myth is Harmful. And What to Do Instead.
    Feb 22 2022
In this episode, I talk about why the self-care myth is harmful. It's that myth perpetuated on social media that says if you just take a bubble bath and read a good book, that'll fix things. Well, it won't, and that's because true self-care is about understanding and fulfilling our underlying physiological and psychological needs.
    1. I define self-care. It's so much broader and deeper than bubble baths and good books.
    2. Self-care is really about our needs, so we have to know what those needs are. I define those needs for you.
    3. I talk about how we each fulfill our needs differently, and we learn how to do that by experimenting with what works for us.

    2. How you think about time matters and will influence the results you get with your time.
    3. How you interact with time matters too.

I give you practical tips on how to have more time and how to have a better quality of time by making time your friend. Enjoy!

  • The Missing Step: Speaking to Ourselves with Love and Getting Different Results
    Feb 1 2022
In today's episode of the podcast, I'm going to teach you the missing step that most of us who have been practicing emotional awareness are still glossing over.

And it’s important because this step is the KEY to rewiring our neural pathways, so that we have fewer and fewer triggers that lead to anger, pain, resentment, and other undesirable emotions.

This is my favorite episode so far! This is the foundation of everything I do with my clients. So, I hope you love it and find it as useful as I do.
