At a time when so much in life is a struggle, Sanderson has a rare talent for bringing wonder to the page - and the Wind and Truth stands as a blockbusting testament to a writer who has put the fun back in reading

Spoiler alert! I cannot give my review without revealing a little to much for my taste.

That said: I find the Theme of mental healing a little to predominant. I don‘t dislike it per sé, but for my taste, there were to many characters affected by it, for it to feel naturally occouring. Like in a Simpsons episode - when everything spins around one topic somehow.

Ah yes, and I must have missed some parts of the story, where they meet the „old“ heroes and start calling the Stormlight „Investiture“. It is the next day, but it feels like there was something going for quite a long time, that was not mentioned anywhere inbetween the two days. Time is relative in the spritual realm, where can i read about those adventures?

Wind and Truth delivers a deeply satisfying conclusion for many long-running character arcs, offering readers something rare in modern fantasy: genuine closure. Instead of ending on a heavy cliffhanger or leaving major storylines unresolved, the author clearly considered the reader’s experience. The book thoughtfully rounds up the journeys of numerous characters, giving each of them meaningful moments that feel earned after such a long narrative path.

At the same time, the story doesn’t feel final. Subtle hints and narrative seeds point toward what lies ahead—especially with the planned ten-year time jump before the next installment. This balance between resolution and anticipation makes Wind and Truth both a rewarding end to one arc and an exciting bridge to the future of the series.

I was so desperate to see how Kaladin‘s story continues, unfortunately in this book he is more of a side character which was a bit disappointing. But overall another good solid story.
And again far from finished.
