I was super intrigued by the synopsis and thought: this might be a short and sweet, funny read. And damn, it was, what I didn’t expect tho, was that I would cry my eyes out for the last … 4th? of the book? It was such a beautiful story about life, magic, relationships and the wonders of this world. This book made me feel so many things. I was happy, desperate and reveled in the beauty of the animas, the magic in all of them, the world and us. I know it’s just a story, but somehow it made me feel, like this world has a little bit of magic, if we look in the right places. I throughly enjoyed the character development in both Iris and Pike. They come a long way and I just love the way their relationship transforms into something new along the way. It felt organic and realistic.
Highly recommend.
