Disappointing

My enjoyment of the book kept decreasing as the plot progressed. I gave ‘The Justice of Kings’ 5 stars and the beginning of the sequel was just as strong and got me excited. However, the story started meandering around the kidnapping storyline, which dragged on for too long and was boring, in my opinion. In addition to that, the characters’ frequent bickering and shouting at each other was annoying and went against their portrayal in book 1. After the kidnapping part was over, I was relieved for a couple of pages and my excitement slightly renewed, only to roll my eyes again when the infiltration storyline was presented (sigh). I hope the third book is better.
