Hey, I'm Jamie, a 29-year-old trans guy from the UK. I've been transitioning for 12 years now after realising I was trans (by accident!) at sixteen years old. I knew I was a boy since the age of four, but realised whilst growing up that I was different. It was only in my teens that I found the words to express who I was and what I needed to do. Since then, I've been on testosterone for more than a decade - I know, I can't believe it either - I've also had top and bottom surgery and legally changed my sex, so I know a few things about the transitioning process and being trans!

Thank you for an amazing guide!
I have watched Jamies youtube channel for a while and when I heard about this book, I instantly preordered it. As a cis queer person, this was a fascinating window into the trans experience for me, and I could have listened to hours more of it.
Thanks to Jamie and all the contributers for sharing this! You are fantastic!
To everyone considering giving this audio a listen: If you are a long-term-ally you might not learn to many new things ... but you want to support Jamie, anyway, right? As someone who is a new ally or maybe one the fence of what to think about trans people: Give it a listen an learn!
It is informative, entertaining and Jamie & Shaaba do a great job as narrators.

Wonderful book
I can only speak on this as an ally, as I'm a cis woman. I feel like I've learnt a lot listening to this, and I hope it makes me a better ally.
Jamie's voice is wonderful and makes it easy to listen to. I'm not usually getting through non-fiction in one sitting, but this audio book I inhaled haha

Awesome book, also for allies
The book is great and the narration is incredible. It has helped me to understand transgender people better and to be a better ally and advocate for queer rights! Thank you Jamie!

priceless for any ally
The part about Shaaba's Mom's reaction to your surgery etc. brought me close to tears, even though I'd heard you tell the story in a video before.
I also loved the tips for allies, as that is the role in which the topic concerns me. Much appreciated and also very well realised as an audio book.
