A champion of human-rights issues such as social reform and the brotherhood of man long before they were popular, he continues to educate and entertain readers and listeners worldwide through his writings.

Durant+Gardner=Pure retro gold

although this isn't a particularly old audiobook recording, Gardner's voice and prosody fit to Will Durant's old-fashioned, American style like a handmade pair of cowboy boots. Whenever I read Durant, I can't help but hear Grover Gardner's voice in my head. And I wouldn't want it any other way.
