the main characters are very different but find love when neither expected it. come on their journey to find themselves and each other - especially if you like soccer or football ⚽

I started this book because of all the positive feedback but I did!‘t expected this book to be as dramatic as it was.
There were definitely moments that kept me on the edge, all they way to the end…you just don’t know what might happens next. Especially since I didn‘t know there was a 2nd book.
I promise you, once you in it, you won‘t be able to put it down I loved the the slow burn and and easily fell in love with the main and side characters. Except Carlton of course. Nobody likes Carlton.

Abby Craden was the perfect Narrator for this story and I can‘t wait to start the next book to continue this story.

Have to agree with a previous review: not even Abby Craden could save this. The plot, the characters… completely unbelievable and onedimensional. Nowhere did I feel or get an idea what could draw Catherine to this young thing Alex who was basically a mirror of herself, making bad decisions out of fear of exposure and losing so-called family. If anything there had to be some Freudian element to that. And don‘t get me started about the husband and the fact that any and all male characters are violent, narcissistic idiots. If black-and-white, extremely simplistic soap opera plots are your thing, go for it. Otherwise, try something else. Sorry to be so harsh but really disappointed after liking The Unfinished Line by the same author. Much better so maybe give that a try.

I was bored 75% of the time listening. Before this book i thought Abby Craden could read anything to me and make it worthwhile but not even she could save this.
