The "best" visions of the future I have encountered. You can't change the world for the better if you can't imagine a better world!

Truly inspiring

The ending drags out, but it’s a very touching and imaginative book for the first 90%.

A sort of “a day in the life of” but stretched over 30+ years.

The story has many similarities to the Mars trilogy of KSR, however a somewhat worse image of the future without exploring the universe, only trying to solve climate change using politics and societal change.

The first half I found rather convincing, but when it went further into the future and communism became a core topic it often seemed less plausible.

I enjoyed the book a lot, very well performed. But it is not a linear book, and I found the different chapters sometimes confusing and weird. I recommend, but only for readers willing to experiment

Fascinating story based on well researched socio-economical theories mixed with interesting technical innovations. Reminds me a lot of the Mars Trilogy of Robinson just much more realistic in this book.
