simply brilliant
so glad to have discovered this author! extremly well written, simple but so poetic.
Great way to show what writing can do, too: The writer in the book accepts the losses in her memory without complaining, but in the storys she writes herself there is always something violent about a loss.

Nachdenkliches, stilles Buch, das lange nachklingt
Beide Titel des Buches, die englische sowie die deutsche Ausgabe, haben sehr passende Titel, wobei ich den Originaltitel noch treffender finde.
Der Autoritarismus, der auch in unserer präsenten Welt ein relevantes wichtiges Thema darstellt, ist mit dem allmählichen Verschwinden von allen möglichen Materiellen, Naturalistischen und Physischen brilliant durch Ogawa dargestellt. Es ist so unsagbar plastisch erzählt, dass man als Leser, das 'sich Auflösen' schon körperlich spüren kann. Mehr noch hat die Geschichte Einfluss auf die Psyche, den die Endlichkeit des Sein wird sehr spürbar.
Offensichtlich notwendig ist die Sehnsucht wenn etwas vergeht, ebenso etwas zu hinterlassen, etwas das bleibt. Dies geschieht mit dem Manuskript der Autorin der Geschichte. Worte sollten bleiben. Und im Herzen das Empfinden ebenfalls.

Ungewöhnlich
Ich kann da Buch schwer beschreiben. Wunderschöne Worte aber eine sehr depressive Stimmung. Dafür muss man in yet Stimmung sein. Die Sprecherin ist toll!
