Marvelous
Now that collection of story's, explaining the background and the sidecharacters of Gregors adventures is amazing.
The reader, the stories, mind blowing!
I couldn't stop listening! Even if you do not know Gregor Eisenhorns books, that one is fascinating!

The great Eisenhorn is back!
This is a collection of connected short stories and they are all good. Great stuff. But the first story in particullar is the eeriest s***t I have ever heard in an audio book. Toby Longworth is the best!

The Magos really is one of my absolute favorites.
Following the story of "normal" humans in the madness that is 40k, is imo the best way to explore the universe. Dan Abnett did an excellent job creating characters with depth and their own qualities.
Also bringing together the several short stories in the end of the novel was something that I enjoyed very much!

Good one
I really liked the book although it sometimes was a bit confusing because of the different storylines and timelines. The speaker though was good and I like the 40k Universe

Most perturbatory
This (audio-)book has only one flaw, it's supposed to be the final Gregor Eisenhorn novel, but it's not. Everyone who knows the ending understands that Hereticus really was the final chapter in Eisenhorn's story. Magos Biologis Valantin Drusher is the protagonist of the main story , which entails a support character whose name happens to be Gregor Eisenhorn, but hadn't I been told that this inquisitor is Eisenhorn I surely wouldn't have recognized him. As a matter of fact I probably wouldn't have recognized anyone who belongs to his entourage and bears a name that is familiar to me because I know the actual Eisenhorn novels. But it's not all that bad. Due to two short stories, featuring Drusher and his "partner" Germaine Macks, you already know some of their backstory when the actual novel begins. And their story actually is pretty good. The only inhibition it suffers stems from that one flaw the book has, as the plot tries hard to string a number of otherwise disconnected short stories into a tale that aims to provide some philosophically deep and profound insights into Eisenhorn's persona. It might not come as a surprise that specifically these excursions into Eisenhorn's psyche felt like what I can only describe as a convoluted tedium. In summary, it's a cool novella about an unequal duo of a tech-priest and an Arbiter, and a not so good Eisenhorn story nobody really needed.

Hot damn!
Bester Eisenhorn bisher!
Grandioses Fundament in den Shorts
Herrlicher Mix von Stilelementen, Epochen, Humor, Grusel, Lovecraftian Horror, Weird Fiction, Krimi, Noir, Military..
Ich habe sehr wenig Hemmungen, dieses Buch/diese Sammlung als Abnetts bestes Werk zu bezeichnen (von allem, was ich bisher kenne).
Normalerweise schreibe ich gar keine Rezensionen. Aber verdammte Hacke.. What a ride!

Another fantastic entry in the Eisenhorn series
Possibly even my favorite of the four Eisenhorn novels written so far. Even more enjoyable thanks to the fantastic performace of Toby Longworth, whose voicework is absolutely flawless and mesmerizing. Recommended to any Warhammer or dark scifi enthusiast in general.

Gutes Buch
Schönes Hörbuch, war interessant und die Geschichten waren einigermaßen konsistent. Ist bei Warhammer keine Selbstverständlichkeit aber Dan hat es durchgehalten.
