Trazyn, a collector of historical oddities, presides over a gallery full of the most dangerous artefacts - and people - of the galactic past. Orikan, a chronomancer without peer, draws zodiacs that predict and manipulate the future. But when an artefact emerges that may hold the key to the necrons’ next evolution, these two obsessives enter a multi-millennia game of cat and mouse that ends civilisations, reshapes timelines, and changes both forever. As riddles unwind and ancient secrets are revealed, the question remains: will their feud save the necron race or destroy it?

einfach gut
Eine der besten 40k Geschichten, aber vlt nicht für leite geeignet die sich in dem Universum nicht auskennt

Great book with mildly annoying measurements
This is utterly pedantic, however the constant switching between qbits (or however they are spelled, this is an audiobook after all) and imperial units kind of bugged me. Of course the clearest option would be metric, but if the author is American I can accept imperial units, and even the qbits are fine, as Necrons very likely wouldn’t use metric or imperial and you can still roughly estimate distances. However what bugged me was that sometimes something was measures in qbits and then a paragraph later something else would be measured in feet.
This is not even remotely close to a dealbreaker, it’s not even worth subtracting a star for, it’s just something I’d like to be more consistent in future books, if there are any upcoming ones.

Excellent voice acting
The voice for Orikan has to be perfect. An excellent insight into how the Necrons think, especially towards the end.

Necrons
That's it.
Necrons.
A book about two Necrons doing Necron stuff.
Stealing priceless artifacts.
Waiting millenia to get something.
Being nice to each other.
And general douchebaggery.

I laughed alot and i learned alot more about Necrons.
I know the basics. But now Necrons have a more ... humane side.
Well anything greedy and egoistic can be humane, with some willpower.
I loved the plot.
The speak is really good too, one of the better ones if not the best for exactly this type of book.
If you liked brutal cunning or a more lax story of warhammer 40k. Get it.
There's only like alot of battles going on. But most are rather fun.
Elders riding Dinos is a good start.

alles
ist eine sehr gute Geschichte von Warhammer und Games Workshop weiter so und wir haben noch viele spande Jahre mit tollen Geschichten vor uns
