Steamforged sorcery is playing in a distopic apocalyptic World im which a unique Form of magitech is real. The Story start felt rather clunky in weich the Protagonist , Angel , is directly thrown into Action without and explanation at all.
In the world there are 2 types of magic? magitech? installments the Former extinct one , aptly called old World magic, and a new world magic also there is a kind of system which quantifies lvls and stuff but is doesn't play a big roll at all and feels slapped onto the whole thing.
These magic Systems are also my biggest minus for the book since they are not explained well.
On the other hand the author really nailed the characters the Protagonist aswell as the side characters have meaningful impact and growth.
All in all i really liked the first book and looking forward to the next i just hope for a bit more indepth dive into the magitech of the World as that is the Main selling point of the Story.
