Ich habe das Buch gehört und mich in die Welt verliebt. Noch nie zuvor habe ich etwas derartiges gelesen. Ich bin eine kleine Leserate und ich glaube alle die ebenfalls eine sind werden diese Geschichte lieben. Am meisten hat mir gefallen was die Autorin aus Büchern gemacht hat. Ich werde nicht darauf näher hinweisen, dass soll jeder selbst herausfinden. Aber diese Idee war einfach nur unglaublich und einzigartig. Ich hoffe das Buch wird irgendwann ins Deutsche übersetzt, denn dann lese ich es auf jedenfall noch ein weiteres Mal. Das Hörbuch war gut vorgelesen, die Sprecherin kann man sich stundelang an einem Stück anhören ohne genervt oder genug zu haben. Sie hatte auch keinen zu englischen Akzten. Ich konnte jedes Wort gut verstehen, was für jemand der nicht englisch als Muttersprache hat sehr zu gute kommt. Ich liebe es und werde mit dieses Hörbuch immer mal wieder anhören.

I somehow didn't expect that much going into this audiobook, but I was blow away. The already intriguing and capturing story was made brilliant by the performance of the narrator. She pulled me in, and kept me listening. I am so glad I gave this book a try! it's one of my favourites now.

A wonderfully voiced adventure

WOW! I honestly can't believe just how much of an adventure this was for me! I've started listening to this audiobook two days ago and I couldn't stop listening to it even late into the night. The story is well developed and everything ties together really well - even if the listener is kept in the dark for a while. The characters are relatable and their light bantering, side remarks and especially Elisabeth's, Nathaniel's and Silas's interactions had me either laughing, smirking or awestruck since they never seemed to have dull or boring moments. I lost count of the amount of times I clutched my mug wide-eyed and nervous or had to stifle my giggling due to how invested I got in the story and it's character's lives.
Also, the reader's voice was perfect in my opinion! She gave every character a different tone and I could always tell right away who was speaking - even to the point I forgot that it was all read by the same person! A job VERY well done and I can't speak higher praises when I say she had me pulled into the story with every word (which obviously goes for the story in itself as well as the reader!)
I've read a review before that said the ending left them with a "smile and only the regret that it was over" and I can 100% agree!
Like Elisabeth said once or twice "if only I could go back in time"... then I would go back to before I listened to this, just to enjoy it all over again 🤭

Subtle and bold, with amazing twists and a bright new perspective on all kinds of polarities we call good or evil. Narrated by a wonderful talent, a voice which pulls you right into the rich depths of this magical tale. Do listen!

Gravity of Heart

This book was exceptional!
Unlike anything I’ve read so far.
And also narrated by Emily Ellet, I couldn’t stop listening.
The story was so captivating from the beginning to the end. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy, action with a little sprinkle of romance 🥰

This one.....this one was not what I was expecting in the best of all ways.

This one very much flipped the script of a classic young adult novel.
Industrial magic that is much taboo but isn't? Giant libraries full of sentient books? Yes, please!

Combine that with the lovely novelty of a very capable young woman whos very willing to learn and evolve and stand on her own two feet and I'm very much sold. Elisabeth is endearing from moment one, knows what she wants, and is willing to go the lengh to do it.

And then there are Nathaniel and Silas....and while Silas fills the shoes of a male counterpart in YA novels he isn't. And....Nathaniel doesn't. And its wonderful. He's not the broody mysterious overpowering figure we are made to believe. Hes a dreamer, always joking, still very much the teenager no one seemed to allow him to be in public, making the best of the way he wants to live his life, utterly uninterested in the shenanigans Elisabeth (and let's be honest Silas) drag him into.

It's adoreably lighthearted while still an adventure to be remembered.

It's the female protagonist novel I wish I would have had ten years ago as a teen. Elizabeth is a character I learned to love from the start, as all the other characters in this book. This book has a beating heart of feelings and I will listen to it again most definitely!
