A sacrifice made. A Primordial defeated. The hard part starts now.
Felix had risked everything to stop the threat of the Unending Maw. Except instead of death, he and his Companion Pit were transported to the deadly Void, a place far worse than the Foglands. The Maw is there with them, bonded somehow to Felix in a way none of them understand, but all of them hate.
The three must navigate the desolate expanse of the dark Void, contending with voidbeasts, marauders, and the creeping influence of the Maw itself. It will take everything that Felix has—and more—merely to survive, let alone escape.

It's an intermission
I disagree with the 5 stars but i also wildly disagree with the bad reviews.
Travis Baldree in my opinion is one if the best voice actors around but Book 2 feels like a really long intermission, or you might call it a filler arc. On it's own I would have liked it as a story, the problem is that the main storyline barely advances. It's a whole 14 hours of "Felix needs to get back to the main story" with a few important chapters for the other characters mixed in.
Maybe some of the things that happened will be important in later volumes, but right now I am glad I can finally move on to Book 3.

Too much RPG too little Lit
The Author seems to have completly have lost the Plot in this one. As others said it felt like a Filler and the Story barely crawls forward. Only the outstanding performance of Travis Baldree carried me through.

Great concept and wordbuilding, very poor writing
The Concept and worldbuiding are really outstanding, good enough for me to buy the 2nd one despite not really loving part 1, just to see if the author turns it around. Unfortunately the author gets stuck again and again in endless action and fighting scenes, rather than progressing the story. The whole concept of the MC beeing stuck in a dungeon for a whole audiobook is also boring, has been tried countless times and just never works, especially if story progress is already the biggest weekness of this series, because it drags out the already almost nonexisting story development. This whole book should have been 2 maybe 1 hour chapters of a book, not an entirely needlessly drawn out whole book.

Stay away, it's really bad and not worth your time
how someone could give this book 5 stars is completely beyond me. This is an absolutely pointless filler with 0 story progression and also nearly 0 character progression. maybe the next one is better but this one you can just skip without missing a thing.

Booring
I dunno, voice is a+, but i catch myself never caring about anything. Miss half an hour falling asleep? What ever. Just not good for me personally. Gonna stop half way thru book 2, just cuz i dont even know whats going on, and i dont care. Writing just isnt engaging to me.

Bad follow up
Great World building in the first book, utter fail in the 2nd. Story is boring, main character runs around from fight to fight like a headless chicken.
