it feels more like being in a salescall than reading a book

In the beginning it already bothered me that even before the book begins there is already a salespitch for another product included. But I thought well ok, not that great but let's move on.
I was really excited what all these people had to say - and I liked a lot of what they did say. This book really offers a wide array of different sales approaches and clearly shows: there is not that one way - you have to gind your thing and here a great guideline you can use for orientation.
But, and this is a great but, every single chapter starts with a huge third person description of how great the author of this particular chapter is and what they achieved. In the beginning it was just annoying but when one of the chapters take home message was "your prospect doesn't give a damn about you" I couldnt stand it any longer. I dont care what all these people did. I care what they have to say and I wished this book was more about the content than about being a salespitch for anyone of them. If I liked their approach I would have googled them. Or at least put all that show off stuff at the end so I can just skip it by moving to the next chapter.
I really tried to get through the book but I just can't listen to another "look at how awesome I am"
