I like that both men - Alan and Dorian - are grown-up, educated and not financially dependent on each other. They can concentrate on other facets of their personalities and personal histories to grow together, in their relationship and as individuals.
I like that both men learn and/ or accept new things about themselves.
There were moments I was quite dismayed with Dorian and his uneducated belief that he needed to go through pain instead of searching for other way. Such an intelligent man, who researches a lot did not research this?!!

So far my favourite book in this series!
