So, I bought this audiobook because I am fan of C. Cardeno. And then the speaker uttered his first word and I was absolutely captured. I really, really loved it. And I couldn't stop hearing although I really had to sleep because I was awake for the most part of the last week. At least, that's what it felt like.
To the book: All the while hearing Samuel tell the story, I thought about what an idiot he is. I mean, did he ever get anything right? He is very loyal and intelligent, but never really gets feelings. Reminds me a bit of someone having Aspergers. In a way, it is comical how Samuel always misinterprets the actions of those around him - especially Korban. But then, he is kind of sweet in his own way.
Korban is an absolute sweetheart. And it's so tragic! It really is perfect.
