Hm.

Hurts me to say it, but this was a disappointment after the utter brilliance of the bone ships saga. I usually don't mind slow books, but the story really took forever to start going somewhere. And from that point, everything went as expected. If you have seen any Hollywood fantasy/action movie, you know the story already. The narrator also starts to get annoying after a couple of hours. Something about the repetitiveness in the rhythm of his speech, I think. World building is interesting though.
