Even better than The Dry
Brilliant "whodunnit" set on the wild Australian bush. Characters well-crafted, and I liked the personal peek into Falk's life. It's refreshing to have a "nice-guy" investigator as a lead after reading about so many damaged detectives. Please hurry, Ms. Harper, and write the next book!

Absolutely fascinating story that hooks you in
Binge listening alert! The story has a nice rhythm to it and it is well written. I wished the ending had more drama.

Very long winded
The story had potential, it’s told with so much detail and little passion, it just ends up being boring. I had to force myself to listen to the end, even when the end is really good... Probably that the background for the title...
