I just finished the last available book in this series and I am already looking forward to the next one. What makes this series special: Characters who develop and relationships that SLOWLY change throughout the series (I absolutely love that), a complex crime aspect that is a bit „more“ than your typical cozy mystery but far from gory/horror due to the comical aspects of the story/characters and supporting characters with unique and relatable personalities. Warning: The heroine as well as the plots in this series are messy and chaotic. If you don’t have the patience for that, these books are not for you.

The protagonist is a crime author who somehow is getting paid to kill someone.
It was a really nice audiobook.

This book is not like other thriller books which make you scared while reading, but instead, it is shown in a really realistic way how someone can get involved with such a murder story.

I only gave it 4 stars, since I don't think it was amazing, but it's definitely worth the read. You will have a nice time and you will definitely not get bored.
