Über diesen Titel
He was only there for a business deal....
A couple of days...that was all it was supposed to take for property developer Roman Blackwell to decide if the strip of land just south of Dare, Montana, would be the perfect spot for his next luxury resort. He wasn’t interested in repairing his frayed relationship with his half brother who’d moved to the small town a few months earlier, and he definitely wasn’t interested in doing anything more than scratching an itch when he checked out the gay club near his hotel. But when his plans for a quick hookup are waylaid after he steps in to save a young man being brutalized, Roman finds himself building an emotional connection he never saw coming.
One bad decision changed everything....
College student Hunter Greene has spent 18 months trying to forget the one night he gave in to temptation and made a decision to hide one lie by telling another. But the guilt of knowing he shattered another young man’s life to protect his own secret shame is slowly destroying him, and he knows that soon even his spiral into a dangerous pattern of self-destructive behavior won’t be enough to keep his entire world from imploding. But the last thing he’s looking for is someone to save him.
But fate works in mysterious ways....
Forced to return to the town he grew up in, the last person Hunter expects to run into is the mysterious savior who changed everything with one soul-shattering kiss. While he can’t deny his attraction to Roman, Hunter knows that he’ll never be free to act on it and once Roman discovers the terrible secret he’s hiding, it won’t matter anyway.
Because some things just can’t be forgiven....
Trigger warning: This book does contain multiple possible triggers for some listeners. Specifics can be found by utilizing the "Look Inside" feature of the Amazon Kindle e-book. Please note that reading what triggers are included may cause spoilers.
Can be listened to as a stand-alone story - no cliff-hangers. This series crosses over with some of my other series, so for the most enjoyment, they should be listened to in order, but it is not required.

Sometimes fate works overtime, too!
When finding his sick half-brother, Roman also spotted potentials for his work as a posh property developer. That brings him back to Montana. Never had it crossed his mind to either revisit Gray and find out if their fractured childhood relationship could be mended, nor had Roman expected to find a soul-shattering emotional connection to Hunter Green, the town mayor's son.
Honestly, I had debated listening to this episode. I did not expect much of Hunter, as he felt like a selfish prick nearly destroying Finn and then running away. From Gray´s story I got that his family life had been rather dysfunctional and Roman's brief visit felt distant and unpersonal. At last my serial-love won and I am glad it did. Sloane Kennedy has done a stunning job getting me hooked to Hunter's story. This young man carries way more baggage then all the other characters and goes through several hard won life changes. Roman is as psychically bruised and although he appears being the stronger of the two, Hunter surprises him (and me) more than once in their growing relationship. Still I could have done with a little less erotic scenes, they felt too many this time.
Phantastic narration again done by Michael Dean! Thanks to his voices Hunter's deep hurt, vulnerability and guilt tugged at my heart. As did Roman's surprise discovering his deep protectiveness for the younger man. I loved that he treated Hunter with respect and understanding, just being there for him even in his worst moments, never judging. One would think „Forgiveness“ is about Hunter and Finn, but soon it becomes clear, first Hunter has to forgive himself, which is even more challanging! The dramatic end came a bit rushed, but I love how the chosen family at Dare is growing and all characters are bound into it, connected by love and care.
