Differently Morphous used to be my absolute favorite book. Now it has been replaced by Existentially Challenged.

It's fun and fast paced with more than just a hint of the slapstick comedy. I love the humor and the ridiculusness of it all. I also find that i care a lot more about these characters and threats that i do in any serious adventure books.

The characters are just fun to watch, easy to remember and absolutely delightful.

Yathzee Crashaw continues to surprise and make me laugh with all of his books. Just read AND hear them all, always until eternity. :)

How many movies do we have to suffer through faultless have-it-all characters. Nice CGI but boring linear story. And above stereotypes over stereotypes.

Enter Yahtzee Croshaw. His stories are made of imperfect people in complicated situations. His wordplays are from this millennia. I wish I could read a new story from him every week, he is just so incredibly entertaining.

And on top of this we get this amazing performance. When I listen to him, I can really see these characters come to life.

First of: I think this is not the kind of sequel you can listen to without hearing the first part. With that out of the way: Happy to see the sequel to differently morphous not succumbing to the "Men In Black" trap and just retread the enjoyable dynamics between the characters from the first book. The sequel escalates both the personal and global stakes of the story while still delivering on an enjoyable "Whodunit". Although still narrated in a light-heartes tone, I respect that the story takes its premise seriously and presents some interesting conandrums (e.g. a very enjoyable trial scene). I'm looking forward to the sequel!

To summarize: A great sequel that builds on the strengths of the previous books will still presenting somethinh new. Yathzee's narration is also a joy to listen to.

Another fantastic novel by Yahtzee Croshaw, masterfully read by the author himself. Full of humor and suspense and each character grows on you. I hope there are many more stories to come from the DEDA files.
