Die Geschichte von Lou und Ambulance Sam ist eine schöne Liebesgeschichte, jedoch mit Auftauchen von Lilly, den ganzen Eskapaden, Drogen, Diebstahl und Schießereien etwas übertrieben... War mir dann zu viel des Guten, war sogar kurz gewillt, das Hörbuch gar nicht mehr fertig zu hören.

Ich muss gestehen, dass ich mich durchaus von Kritiken leiten lasse, obwohl mein Lieblingshörbuch, Janine Boissard >La Chaloupe< nur mittelmäßig besprochen wurde, und habe entsprechend lange gezögert. Da mir die Sprecherin, Anna Acton, in der Hörprobe gut gefallen hat habe ich es dann aber doch gekauft. Sie hat das Buch sehr gut gesprochen und man konnte durch sie gut mit Louisa mitfühlen.. Die Fortsetzung ist unterhaltsam, spannend, lustig, traurig und natürlich auch ( vorhersehbar) optimistisch....sie kommt natürlich nicht an das erste Buch ran, aber das ist ja häufig so.
Louisa als moderner "Simplicissimus" ist eine sympathische Figur, von der ich - vorausgesetzt sie wird gut gesprochen - gerne noch mehr hören will.
Ich habe schon viele Hörbücher von Jojo Moyes gehört aber noch keines gelesen und
"After you" kann mit den anderen durchaus mithalten.

Faire une suite à l'incroyable "Me before you" est un challenge de taille. Il est impossible d'arriver à la cheville du premier livre car l'histoire n'appelle tout simplement pas à une suite. Pourtant, l'auteure a bien su reprendre son personnage principal et créer une seconde histoire intéressante malgré la complexité de l'affaire. Si vous aviez adoré comme moi le premier livre, lancez vous! Mais ne soyez pas trop exigeants, la suite se devait forcément être très différente du premier livre!
Pour ce qui en est de la lecture, Anna Acton a fait un boulot incroyable, sa voix, son accent et les intonations qu'elle utilise rendent l'histoire tellement vivante et captivante. J'espère bientôt pouvoir écouter d'autre livre audios lu par elle!

It is pleasant to listen to Anna Acton, I can fully recommend her. She imitates all the voices exactly that you can imagine the person. The story is not as good as Jojo Moyes first book, but that is just because the topic isn’t that society riving as in Me before You. It was at least partly unpredictable and thrilling!
