    Nov 29 2024

Hello and welcome to The World Via.

Today, we’re going to sit back, raise a glass, and commune with our past, with our present and with our future.

We’re going to journey from the field to the farmhouse, from the brewhouse to the pub. We’ll wonder at the partnership between man and microbe and how a simple molecular byproduct can help us all get along.

We’ll consider gravity and effervescence, IBU’s and ABV, MCU’s and SRM’s.

There’s gonna be some malting, mashing, watering, boiling, fermenting, conditioning. We may even break out the Irish Moss.

Crack open a cold one, pour one out for your Homies, and your Holies, and take a long refreshing sip and join us today on The World Via Beer.

Welcome to the World via Time.

Today, Brian and I will be spending time with time. Trying to understand it in our specious present, hoping to provide explanation and entertainment for your near and possibly distant futures. Trying to wrap our arms and our minds around our perceptions. Around this thing that we experience every day, but may or may not, actually exist.

Please join us in our journey while we explore time on The World via Time.

Hello and Welcome to the World Via.

Please make yourself comfortable and allow us to provision your mind with all that it needs, as you spend some time in our intellectual home. Today, we’re going to try to bring the outside inside and to consider what the inside looks like from the outside. We’ll discuss the common ground held by motels, sub shops, cocktail lounges, and theme parks. We’ll contrast the Xenia of ancient Greece with the Omotenashi of modern Japan. We’ll try to answer the eternal question, “Can love convert the cannibal, or is it simply fish soup?” We’re going to dissolve our mental borders and bring you all into this conversation, giving freely, with no expectation of reciprocity. Eh, mostly.

Today, on the World via Hospitality.

  • The World via Elections
    Sep 27 2024

Welcome to today’s episode, where we will discuss Elections. We are going to research, dissect, discuss, pontificate about, to try to understand the world around us a little better, and hopefully help you understand the world around you a little better, or if nothing else, mildly entertain you for a bitsy. Welcome to the World via Elections.

Hello and Welcome to the World Via.

Today we will be discussing a duality of sorts. A state of presence or absence. We will discuss the impact of this duality on the mind, on the individual, on organizations, and on society.

We will ensure that you have our complete focus and we hope that, in turn, you will focus on us, if even for a brief time. We will consider your freedoms and our own freedoms and what occurs when those meet. We will count heads and weigh the value of virtuality or perhaps answer the eternal question, “If someone buys a ticket to a sporting event but doesn’t show, do they count?”

We’ll be fully present and accounted for today on The World via Attendance.

    Aug 30 2024

Hello and welcome to the World Via. Today, we’re going to talk about all there is to to talk about. We’re going to engage with anything and everything, as long as it exists, or we can convince each other that it exists. We’re going to be grounded, we’re going to be present, we’re going to be more than simple representations, although perhaps that’s all we really are. Let’s get ontological, baby, today, on the World via Reality.

    Aug 23 2024

Here today on The World Via, we’re gonna take a mental ramble through the great outdoors and talk about what it’s like to walk about. We are going to take a little wander, take a little trek. We’re gonna discuss what it was like to wander the world in ancient times, what it was like to wander the world in industrial times, what people do nowadays, in the present day, to experience nature, to get away from their mundane urban/suburban existence. Today, we are going to take a trek in our minds and in your ears and explore The World via Hiking.

Hello and welcome to The World Via. Today’s topic of discussion wasn’t taken from the tops of our heads, although it will often be found there. Keeping us protected from the elements, or proclaiming our faith. We’re going to talk about berets and bowlers, fezzes and fedoras, Phyrgians and piths, sombreros and Stetsons, toques and turbans. We’re going to get on top of the important question of how to properly doff, even if you’re not from Milan or the High Street. I think you’ll have fun getting a little mad with us today on The World via Hats.
