You've probably never seen a movie like Abruptio. It's a tense, violent story of a man who realizes he has a device embedded in his neck and if he doesn't perform certain deadly tasks, it'll explode. Director Evan Marlowe joins Movie Guy Paul Preston to talk up this very unique film's long road to the screen, doing it all yourself and working with horror legends like Robert Englund and Sid Haig.

Documentaries are especially effective when they bring to light something you may not have otherwise known about. A lost bit of history in Canada is the segregated boarding schools for indigenous children and the abuse of these kids at the hands of the Catholic Church (happening for nearly a CENTURY). The film Sugarcane follows the investigation into this history and documents the resilience of the people who survived their time in the schools and the aftermath.
