  • What we fail to rule will rule us
    Oct 1 2024

What we fail to rule will rule us

1 Samuel 17:8 Goliath stood and shouted to the ranks of Israel,

“Why do you come out and line up for battle? Am I not a Philistine,

and are you not the servants of Saul? Choose a man and have

him come down to me. 9 If he is able to fight and kill me, we

will become your subjects; but if I overcome him and kill him, you

will become our subjects and serve us.” 10 Then the Philistine

said, “This day I defy the ranks of Israel! Give me a man and let

us fight each other.” 11 On hearing the Philistine’s words, Saul

and all the Israelites were dismayed and terrified. - (NIV84)

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the

wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman,

“Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the

    garden’?” - (NIV84)

What we fail to rule will rule us

    1. Goliath was sure of victory - ready to rule Israel

    2. Adam failed to rule the serpent, then it ruled him

    3. Cain was unwilling to rule over sin then it got him

    Sep 23 2024

We are a people who are hungry for new experiences with

our God. We don’t believe in conserving the experiences of the past. Our vocation is not religion but a deeper relationship to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If you are ready to join us in our pursuit of God, you are most welcome here at GO Centre. It is our prayer, that you may be able to know Jesus and know Him as our crucified redeemer. We are glad you came! Allow Jesus to meet you and experience His presence which will change your life. Be blessed! Helmut Reutter

  • The man who struggled with God & men
    Sep 17 2024

Genesis 32:24 Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled

with him until the breaking of day. 25 Now when He saw that He

did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and

the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him.

26 And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks.” But he said, “I

will not let You go unless You bless me!” 27 So He said to him,

“What is your name?” He said, “Jacob.” 28 And He said, “Your

name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have

struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.” 29 Then

Jacob asked, saying, “Tell me Your name, I pray.” And He said,

“Why is it that you ask about My name?” And He blessed him

there. 30 So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: “For I

have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.” 31 Just

as he crossed over Penuel the sun rose on him, and he limped

    on his hip. -

The man who struggled with God & men

    1. Jacob’s birth was a struggle of who would be first

    2. Jacob had a vision aiming to buy Esau’s birthright

    3. The struggle continues with Isaac and with Laban

    4. In reality Jacob’s journey was a struggle with God

    5. God turned Jacob’s struggle into divine blessings
