  • Miss Mercy Masanga is an excellent role model for young women in Tanzania and worldwide. 


    In 2021, she became the first female Chairperson of the University of Dar es Salaam College of Engineering and Technology (CoET).


    A senior at CoET, Miss Masanga is a highly accomplished geomatics engineer. She has worked on many projects, including one on geothermal energy – which earned her an undergraduate research opportunity with the Tanzania Geothermal Development Company.


    Miss Mercy is also a passionate promoter of STEM education among Tanzanian youth. Her work and leadership have inspired many young people to dream big and pursue their passions. 


    In addition to her professional achievements, Masanga is an accomplished poet whose writing revolves around making the world a better place for everyone. 


    Her book, "In The World, We Are Living," is available on Amazon, and her TEDx Talk on "Closing the Gap" between children and their parents will be released soon.
