Calling all fighters in the ring of life! If life hasn’t knocked you down yet, it will. Termite and Mister S are your cornermen to encourage you to get back up and keep fighting to your victory! They will bring you stories from many different people sharing their struggles, their challenges, and their knockdowns that they had to get back up from before they could see their victory. We hope their stories inspire you in your own life story.

Termite and Mister S have coaching and teaching in their blood. Termite is an accomplished boxer that became a trainer and ultimately built a boxing team with the Iraqi people during the time he served as a civilian contractor in the Gulf War. He won over the hearts of the Iraqi people with his genuine love for them and the sport at a time when Iraqis were hesitant to trust America. He fostered a team and took that Iraqi boxing team to the Olympics which was the first time Iraq had been to the Olympics since Sadam Hussein took control of the country. There is too much to his story to condense here and so much so that a movie about his life is being made by Sylvester Stallone’s production company which is planned to be released in 2025.

Mister S is a devoted father and friend with a passion for helping others become all they were created to be. He is a degreed engineer-turned-business-enthusiast involved in launching and coaching several start-ups in the Oil and Gas space and Tech sectors.

The friendship between Termite and Mister S grew with their desire to help and inspire others to overcome challenges in life with the sport of boxing as both a literal and metaphorical foundation for living a life of victory and overcoming. Join them as they host guests that will share the obstacles in their lives and how they overcame them so you too can someday have a story of victory!

  • In The Ring With Special Guest Robert Santee
    Oct 2 2025

Robert Santee, also known as Dr. Robert Santee, is introduced as a living legend and former Houston Astros player (1:03-1:09). He was the Astros' first black player, drafted by them at 17 years old as their number one pick (1:53-1:56, 14:47-14:54).

His early life was marked by significant challenges:

    • Polio and late walking: He couldn't walk until he was 10 years old due to polio, crawling like an animal (4:46-4:48, 6:46-6:48).
    • Supportive mother: His mother, who worked two jobs to feed five kids by herself, never gave up on him and taught him to play sports while he was still crawling (4:52-5:12, 10:46-10:48). She also signed him with the Astros, a decision influenced by George Bush Sr., who was a part-owner of the team (16:04-16:18).
    • Difficult childhood: He came from a hard life, eating "sugar sandwiches" and not having much (5:20-5:24). He also experienced not being told "I love you" by his mother, though he knew she did through her actions (10:36-10:42). He had a lot of hate growing up due to his circumstances (11:40-11:46).
    • Near-death experience: He was bitten by his own dog around seven or eight years old and received 100 rabies shots (7:22-7:27).

Despite his initial preference for basketball, where he was a standout player (15:00-15:02, 16:45-16:55), he excelled in baseball. He mastered every sport he tried (6:00-6:11) and was compared to Michael Jordan in his high school athletic abilities (20:06-20:20).

Santee also shares his experience of spending 22 years in prison, 14 of which were in solitary confinement (1:59-2:03). He mentioned that he "walked out the door after 30 years" (9:30-9:36), which made him a better person (9:39). After his release, he met his wife and never looked back (6:31-6:34). Today, he is a pastor, a mentor, and the founder of the Santee Foundation (2:05-2:15).
