  • Cath Lloyd is a British TEDx Speaker, life coach, and author of “When Dad Became Joan” and “4 Steps to Emotional Freedom – How to be Happy Again After Painful Life Changes.” Initially a shy and unconfident student, Cath developed her confidence through life experiences, enabling her to share her voice, ideas, thoughts, and feelings. She began her career as a ceramic teacher in adult education, eventually teaching social and life skills in a male jail for 14 years.

    Cath's perspective on life changed dramatically when her father announced his gender reassignment treatment. This, along with her son's severe neck injury in 2017, shifted her focus to supporting families through difficult changes. Cath writes, talks, and shares how such changes can feel like a bereavement process. She helps families end their sadness, restore calm, and live confident, lively lives.

    Cath has appeared on local radio, Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, and many podcasts. She promotes the importance of self-honesty and communication to maintain emotional, mental, and physical balance, ensuring a smoother family life.
