loved the hero disliked the heroine

I really loved Bothan, his Determination, his Dedication, his honor and how his actions spoke for him and I get that the heroine is Battered and bruised given her past but come on!!! after a while her resisitence was ridiculous. like all her heroines ( apart from the 1st one, which remains my favorite) Brenda is prickly, not very smart, Acts before she Thinks and resists the marriage just because. After a while Brenda started to sound like a broken record. the thing is I liked her in the previous books. I thought her smart and cunning and strategic but here she behaved like a skitish virginal girl, letting her temper get away with her on multiple occasions, so I did not have a lot of Respect fo her anymore. for instance: Bothan basically moved heaven an earth to get her, to marry her and to save her again and again he even litterally went toe to toe with kings and queens for her. And then she wakes up one morning after a night of passion alone and immediatly concludes that Bothan did not want her and only wanted to bed her and wants now to get rid of her. aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhj! Mary Wine Sure knows how to frustrate her Readers! I am glad the series is finally over. all in all her heroes are always likeable and what kept me reading but her heroines (exept for book one) were annoying and frustrating af.
