Plucky 14-year-old Viva Durant heads to New Orleans every summer to spend time with her loving but stern grandmother, known as Gram. Really cool story

I'm an adult German but I really enjoyed this marvelous teen story. The whole atmosphere is so cool and I liked the jazz music and all the mention of great jazz players like Jelly Roll Morton, Duke Ellington or Louis Armstrong.
