Annoyingly incoherent

The daughter of a former SWAT gets kidnapped. This is the furious start of the story. Not That innovative but promising enough to expect a gripping plot with some action, too much realism would not be necessary. The surprise is: this Story is lacking logic at any point, not only in details but even in the main plot. Your daughter is kidnapped and you know where she is and who did it? You would propably call the police and let them do their job. But not our hero. He would do it alone, together with a friend of SWAT times and a „love at first site“- female doctor who both decided to rather hunt some kidnappers then go to their work. That easy. All the time i am asking myself why the people in this book are doing the things they do. No logic, no psychic development of characters, even the science is superficially researched.
Due to the lack of coherence no suspence will grow. The permanently over-excited reading style of the narrator makes it no better. What a fail.
