Now, you can explore Dante''s life and masterwork with a truly gifted Catholic professor as your guide. In this 12-lecture series, Dante''s Divine Comedy, Sr. Mary Clemente Davlin will take you through this timeless narrative that has so profoundly influenced Western history, literature, and the Christian faith. This series offers you the opportunity to visit, or revisit, one of the greatest pieces of writing of all time.
Translated into over 40 languages, Dante''s writing is held in the highest regard in many different cultures around the world. Sr. Clemente, who studied the Divine Comedy in Florence and has taught the subject for many years, does an expert job of speaking to the most important parts of the poem.
Dante''s Divine Comedy presents the unique opportunity to follow along with your own copy of Dante''s work, or to simply understand the writing and its interpretation through Sr. Clemente''s lectures. Either way, as you follow Dante''s incredible journey, Sr. Clemente will be there to help you understand exactly what is happening and how we should read such an amazing piece of spiritual literature. As Sr. Clemente says of those that follow her lectures, "They will find that the Divine Comedy lifts up their hearts."
