one of my favorites!
The story is so touching and unique. But be warned, the last few chapters made me cry so much, so maybe don't listen to them when you're running erands

heartwarming story
TJ Klune's books have a particular charm about them.
I absolutely love 'The House in the Cerulean Sea' by him and so naturally I had really high expectations for this book. And I‘m happy to say that I was not at all disappointed. Though I have to say that those two books are very different and if you‘re expecting a copy of 'The House in the Cerulean Sea' you may find yourself disappointed. But what stays the same is his lighthearted humor and his charming characters.
The only "complaint" I have is with the narrator. Eventho he did a fine enough job, I couldn’t help myself but compare him with Daniel Henning (he narrated 'The House in the Cerulean Sea'). I think I simply prefer Daniel Henning's voice.

Großartig!

Serious, funny, warm.
Love the writing, the story, and the thinking about death in a new way. I live how the book walks the line so well of cozy without clichee, deep but not without lightheartedness, funny but never silly, unique yet familiar. One of the books I wish I could listen to the first time again.

Holy cow...i'm honestly kind of speechless
There was not a moment in this story that didn't capture me. I basically inhaled it. Although, due to the nature if the story it is reather heavy. i was doing quite a bit of ugly sobbing, since i get really invested and that one really tugged on my heartsrings. Would recommend 100%, already recommended to three friends. Made me feel and think all kinds of things and i think i'll be thinking about it for a long time.

Wallace Price is a horrible man but what lies behind this facade? Who is he at the core of his being?
This is a story about family and finding peace. I don’t want to say more, you should definitely find out yourself!

Großartiges Buch und großartig gesprochen
Wieder eine einfühlsame Geschichte von Klune, die dafür sorgt, dass man Tränen in den Augen hat, laut auflacht und mitfiebert. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Herzerwärmend!
T.J. Klune versteht es wie kein anderer, die sensiblen Themen Tod, Abschied und Verlust in eine so herzerwärmende und tröstende Geschichte zu packen. Wer generell sehr emotional reagiert, sollte die Kleenex-Box in Reichweite haben - ich hab noch nie so viel geheult wie bei diesem Hörbuch! Die Story ist dabei nicht etwa tieftraurig, man schmunzelt auch viel, sie berührt einem einfach zutiefst, regt zum Nachdenken an, schenkt Mut und Hoffnung. Kurzum: Ein grandioses Buch!!

very boring as there are various similarities to his other book: main character not very likeable, mentor turning to lovers, strange but loveable supporting characters, mystical setting.

Basically Necrobarista
The Setting and some story outline is „surprisingly“ similar to the game Necrobarista (announced 2017), but fails to add anything meaningful to it.
I’d recommend to play the game rather than this copy.
