The story isn't so bad itself but the writing doesn't do very much for an intriguing reading experience.
The characters aren't that lovely, so I couldn't really feel much for them. Some parts seem like unnecessary cringe, like Drews passing sexism or the way Maisie is portrayed as a naive city girl and way too childish (althaugh it gets better in the end). City Girls might be unknowing about ranches but I think they would know what a pumpkin looks like.
Their love story definetely lacks some tension.
But Abby Craden did a respectable job narrating.
