My life was ordinary, but never boring. That is, until a colossal tower landed smack-dab in the middle of the city.
What should have followed was mass panic and hysteria, but I never got to that part. Why? Simple. I was taken along with 99,999 other people from Earth and dropped onto an unknown world.
Strange beings appeared before us—floating, featureless figures that call themselves demi-gods. They ruled this place, this fantastical world called Gaea. The reason why they took us? Not so simple. We'd supposedly been selected to show that Earth was worth saving from an upcoming cataclysmic event. So, no pressure there.
Gaea is a world entirely controlled by the System, a sarcastic and level-hungry intelligence that granted everyone magical powers, strange classes based on personality or luck, monsters to fight and even loot. It forces us to compete in "events", but no one can really tell us what the endgame is. Climbing the tower and finding out exactly what Gaea is, who created it, and why, could bring us closer to the truth behind our abduction and the fate of our world.
My name is Devin Cain. Join me as I wield Muramasa, a cursed katana that hungers for blood and souls, and a class created to curse players and monsters to death. What can go wrong?

The main character is very annoying
I just couldn't enjoy this book, because the main character is very very very very whiny. It doesn't help that he has the biggest hero complex I have had the displeasure to listen to. But at least the narrator does an ok job.

Spannend
Erinnert mich an Dungeon Crawler Carl. Sehr guter Sprecher und packende Story. Ich konnte gut mit dem Hauptcharackter mitfiebern. Freue mich schon darauf das zweite Buch zu hören

Not bad
The maim character is a little whiney, otherwise the story pretty good. Already bought the next one and listening to it while writing the review :D

Nice one :)
I like isekai stories & the characters in this story are interestingly written; diverse personalities, a variety of powers & they feel alive. The MC is somewhat OP but not completely since there are other powerful individuals in the story. I reduced the narration speed a little but the narrator has a pleasant voice. I never read or listened to a tower litrpg before so I can't compare it to anything of that specific subgenre. However, the sarcastic system messages remind me a little bit of a milder version of dcc.

Good but I don't like the pacing
Was not as catchy as other titles in the genre. If you zone out for a few minutes you miss out on important plot and have no idea where you are

Extrem überladen...
Der Plot ist nichts neues, aber dennoch okay.
Leider haben die Autoren zu viel unnötiges eingebaut..

1. Herocomplex
2. Good guy vs Bad guy
3. Lovestory
4. Cursed
5. Comedy
All diese Themen werden innerhalb kürzester Zeit eingebaut. Echt nervig... schade.
Scheinbar sind alle Bücher dieser Autoren mit ähnlicher Qualität versehen.

Not very good but included for free so…
I like the genre but the story isn’t anything special. Just another story about a computer nerd transported into another universe where all his lacking real life skills aren‘t needed but computer game knowledge is invaluable. Of course there is a girl that liked exactly this in the protagonist too. A bit too on the nose.
But the story is free with the abo and I got nothing else to do, so thanks for the book.
One thing I dislike about litRPG aufiobooks in general is how every item and stat is read. If you read the story that isn‘t a problem but if you are listening this is very annoying. But thats the same for almlst any litRPG audiobook I have heard so far.

langweilig
Alle Standard-Komponenten einer langweiligen Geschichte:
- alle Personen verhalten sich unrealistisch
- die übliche Sammlung von Verbrechern, die den MC am passender stelle angreifen damit er sich moralisch korrekt verhalten kann
-allgemeiner Helden-Komplex bereits nach 3 Minuten

Amateurish writing
The first 30 minutes is the protagonist just telling us who he is and how he acts.
The protagonist is not reacting like a real person, but a cardboard cutout. And so is everyone else. The depiction of "hardened criminals" as rabid dogs, who just want to do harm, is annoying.
Scenes don't flow into each other, but feel like chopped off set pieces.
This story feels like it is written by somebody who has way to little life experience.
