Über diesen Titel
Thunder o Dragon. My rage shakes the portals of fate!
From flying to war to becoming a living playground for 30 children, a dragon called Dragon is growing in all sorts of unexpected ways these days. Never mind. With his signature wit and inimitable style, and the expedient of occasionally throwing his beautiful black Princess, Dragon Rider and best friend straight at his troubles, this Dragon is prepared to seize his war-torn world by the scruff of the neck and shake it into shape. It's not as if the world has a choice in the matter.
The third hilarious, climactic volume in Dragon Fires Rising sees an unlikely Dragon-Rider team take on the full might of the invading Skartunese army.

this got really annoying
The way the story in book 1 and 2 handled racism, self doubt and internalized psychlogical problems was pretty good in my opinion, not perfect but pretty good.
This is the 3rd book and it gets more and more annoying how the "princess" gets everything she wants but everytime someone doesn't agree with her, or even tries to compliment an aspect of her body that she doesn't like she goes of on them for perceived slights and instead of telling her to calm down everybody instantly starts apologising even though they often don't even know what the problem was.
This wouldn't be such a big problem in the story if the author hadn't created a big empty space in the middle of the story where nothing much happens because the armies aren't ready yet and the drgons are stymied because of the terror clan magic. And after a while it's glaringly obvious that this space only exists to listen to sermon after sermon about how it's not ok to judge ppl because of [insert characteristic].
While probably 90% of the listeners already agree, me included, it's blatant propaganda instead of well constructed discussions sprinkled into the whole story runtime like in books 1 and 2.
The humor is still good, the characters likeable and the writing poetic, but the story lost it's spark in my opinion.
