Discover simple strategies and realistic advice on how to not just get by with chronic fatigue syndrome, but go on to live a life of thriving health after recovering!
Do you ever wonder what it would be like to enjoy a night out with friends again, without having to worry about "overdoing it"?
Do you find yourself making progress, feeling better, only to hit these ceilings in recovery that you just can't seem to break through?
Do you have a clear understanding of what you need to do in order to recover from CFS? Or are you free-styling recovery?
Recovering from chronic fatigue syndrome doesn't have to be so complicated.
Start making progress and gaining traction with these simple strategies. You'll be able to finally pick up momentum in your journey and start feeling the symptoms slowly go away, the energy come back, and get off the emotional roller coaster that this illness brings.
With this guide, you'll discover:
- Why you're feeling the way you're feeling: Without understanding the mechanism behind where all your symptoms are coming from, there will always be an underlying fear. Mystery means not knowing, and not knowing leads to anxiety. In order to properly fix a problem, we need to first know what we're trying to fix.
- How this all happened, and how to avoid it in the future: You'll understand that you most likely didn't just get "unlucky" and had this illness come at random. When you know what leads to CFS, you won't have to worry about "crashes" and "major relapses" in the near future because you will know exactly what to do and be equipped with the tools to recover.
- The top three things to focus on during recovery: The mind-shift, properly dealing with symptoms, and building threshold are the keys to solving this once and for all. If you focus and execute on all three of these areas, it's almost impossible to not see any progress.
- The most common mistakes to avoid: Awareness of what to do is important, but perhaps even more important is what not to do. Chances are you're making a lot of mistakes right now that can be easily fixed with small adjustments.
- Three simple hacks to help your body feel more relaxed: I share some of the tools and strategies I used to help stimulate my parasympathetic system and transition out of sympathetic overdrive.
Avoid any progress plateaus physically, mentally, and emotionally with this book that will guide you through the journey of recovering from chronic fatigue syndrome so that you can get back to living life with thriving health!

Very good starting point for ME/CFS recovery
The book is short, but well written and narrated. Someone with acute symptoms might want to reduce the speed of the narration. Miguel Bautista describes his recovery path and key elements for recovery, everything he says in the book I found to be true, it’s comparable to the Gupta program and other brain retrainings. I have not watched his YouTube videos yet and I did not sign up for his personal program. The book can be seen as the first two coaching hours for a recovery for CFS program. It’s not a detailed guide for recovery, but to be fair, I have not yet found a book with a detailed guide. That knowledge is usually reserved for paid programs.
What I liked most about the book is his focus on the oversensitive / maladapted nervous system. Whats lacking is the part of recovery that is related to personal/spiritual growth, for lack of a better word. Nevertheless the 10 bucks I have spent on this book were extremely well invested compared to hundreds/ thousands of euros for clueless doctors or other health professionals.

No actual "How To"
I am happy that the author has recovered and he puts out a lot of really easy-to-understand free content on Youtube. Make sure you do go and check that out. However, I don´t see how this book is a "How To". It is mainly a recall of his illness and experiences and the "story" of his recovery with the basic principles, plus a ton of references to his paid program (which you can get for a mere $5000 (!) and lacks in many ways, starting with actual coaching skills, compassionate holding and all the emotional work that's required for many people to heal). The book provides some framework info on nervous system dysregulation and that you just need to keep persevering with the retraining. He doesn´t actually tell the listener how to retrain the nervous system though (for that you need to fork out the $5k). Also, it is read super fast, which isn´t ideal for the target group - I literally had to slow down the reading speed. What I also found disturbing was a plea half-way through the book to leave a review "right now" to help others (which would make the author want to help YOU even more). Anyway, maybe it will inspire people to sign up for paid nervous system retraining programs (I highly recommend Rebecca Tolin's course, you get so much more from her for much much less money). If you hope to find a "How To" guide in this book, this is not it. But I´m definitely grateful for the Youtube content as it helped me understand the nervous system dysregulation better.
