THE GRIPPING NEW THRILLER FROM THE BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF THE COUPLE AT NO 9

Emilia Ward is just an ordinary mum living happily in suburban London with her husband and two children - a teenager from her first marriage, a little boy from her second. She also happens to be the bestselling author of the Miranda Moody detective novels.

But when Emilia embarks on her tenth novel, life takes a disturbing turn: an incident straight out of the plot of one of her novels occurs in real life. Just an unsettling coincidence, she thinks.

Until it happens again - and again.

Then someone she knows dies in the same way as a victim in the book she's currently writing . . .

Why is someone doing this?
How do they know what she is writing?
And what if Emilia and her family are next?

Looking back, I think that the story is not perfect, but I have to confess that I had difficulties to stop listening for the last 5 hours! I really wanted to get to the bottom of the different layers and know who did it. Yet I understand the criticism on Amazon that the final is a bit constructed, but it is still very good and in the end, I like to read books the end of which I cannot predict and which surprise me. I loved the twists and turns, and the pace! Well read in particular by Gemma Whelan. Highly recommend.

Not perfect, but extremely gripping and clever

The plot is very wxciting and the characters are unique. You take an immediate liking to some whereas others seem annoying from the beginning.
As you get deeperinto the stoey you are confronted with your own thoughts on the characters andit seems absolutely unclear who the killer is.
Brilliant.
Some.scenes drag out unnaturally . They were obviously meant to add to the tension and excitementbut don't.
Apart from them, the book is a total must-read or must-listen-to!
The narrators live the story. Absolute 5 out of 5.

Very exciting
