Ein toller SF Roman, der noch dazu den Südwesten der USA sehr gut einfängt.

Wie hat Ihnen Almarie Guerra als Sprecher gefallen? Warum?
Die Vorleserin variiert subtil und unaufdringlich Stimmlage und Dialekt, und das Tempo ist , dem spannenden Plot angemessen, angenehm flott. Eine der besten Stimmen bisher.

Painful with sharp perspective
This book hurts, but it is impossibly to put down because of its believability. At first, I thought the narrator a strange choice, but within two chapters or became clear that her voice perfectly fits the sharp-edged plot.

I can’t follow
Non-native English-speaker here. My English is level C1, I get top scores in TOEFL tests, etc.. However, I can’t follow the speaker. While I understand her words and most sentences, the whole composition doesn’t paint a picture. I’m 2.5 hours in and still have no clue what it’s all about. Maybe the story is great, maybe it’s not. My failure? The narrator’s accent? I don’t know.
