Audiobook not for foreign listeners!
I am German. My English is quite good and I hear a lot of English audiobooks. The story is based on the Shetland Islands. For me, it is already a challenge to follow the text which is spoken in a moderate dialect. When there is direct speech, I understand nothing! I heard nearly 3 hours now, but I am giving up. For native speakers it might be delightful to hear the dialect as it connects the reading to the story. For foreign listeners it cannot be recommended.
