He was also funny, smart, and surprisingly down-to-earth for a man who wore $700 shoes. Did I mention he also did my laundry while I slept? Definitely too good to be true. So what did I do to repay him for his kindness? I waited until he was in the shower, then ghosted him. My life was too complicated for such a great guy.
In the months that passed, I thought about Donovan often. But New York City had eight million people, so what were the chances I’d run into him? Then again, what were the chances I’d run into him a year later...when I’d just started dating his boss?

Narrators make a book
And again a book , at least for me, especially an audiobook, lives by its narrators and these nailed it again. In Corona times I need ro.ance book to remind me of good endings.

Loved it!!
The story, the humour.. funny, sassy emotional - in all the right places!! Would listen to this audiobook again and again! Definitely recommend :)

A girls/womans fantasy far a away from reality
The book begins in a special, good and quite amusing way and I was looking forward to hearing it.
But as it gets further in to the story, I had to shaken my head more and more and it becomes more and more unrealistic. Then it dawned on me: This was no "normal" novel, but simply a girls/woman´s fantasy. So I checked the author and bingo: it was a woman (I didn´t check on it when I bought the book, since I normally don`t care if the author is a man or a woman).
So I stopped listening to it half way through.
The story as I said, is simply a typical girls/womans fantasy, a fairy tale which has nothing to do with reality. With a prince charming who is as real as superman.
Sorry girls, this is not the reality, it simply can`t be.... -> you certainly can dream of something like that, but in the end it will make you only more disappointed from the real life, as it is (and only can be).... as much as I would love it to, but life simply is no fairytale...
